Bridal Expos

Bridal Expo Tips:

-Definitely bring your fiancé, if this is not possible bring your mother, maid of honor, mother-in-law or girlfriend. It is helpful to have a 2nd opinion.

-Ask vendors for referrals to other top notch vendors. Chat with other brides and grooms; share planning ideas.

-If it is fashion you are seeking, check which expos feature a fashion show. Note the time and if you want a seat arrive early.

-If there is a line to talk to the vendor, listen to what they say to others. You can come back or contact them for an appointment.

-Watch for unique ideas; ask permission to take a photograph of a display or design. If it is a service you wish to book the photo will give your recall.

I hope to see you at one of the expos and have a fantastic time!

Working with Vendors at an Expo
Before the Bridal Expo Begins
Complete Wedding Expo
It is almost a must for engaged couple to attend at least one bridal expo, but attending more than one will give the couple a better choice of resources and options. The show will give you marvelous ideas and stimulate planning. You will actually have “face to face” time with vendors in all wedding categories. This will help you realize what vendors “click” with your personality.

Attend bridal shows in your geographic location since these vendors will be more nearby your ceremony and reception location.

Before attending a bridal expo there is a planning process to make you most efficient at the show:
-Pre-register before the show and some shows offer a discount on the entrance fee which saves time at the entry. Some automatically put your name in the drawing for gifts.
-Do your research to pre-qualify and evaluate the show ahead of time. Focus on the vendors you are missing and spend the most time with the one’s you need. Some vendors offer discounts on their services if you book them at the expo.
-Bring your appointment book to schedule meetings on the spot; bring a tablet and pen to write down special thoughts or ideas.
-Print labels with your both the bride’s and groom’s name, wedding date, postal and email address and phone number so that you can quickly attached the label to the vendor’s forms versus writing all the details. This will save so much time!
-Bring fabric color swatches or ribbons to help match your color scheme.
-Bring a credit card to book vendors on the spot. If there should be an unfortunate circumstance you most likely will be credited funds back to the credit card rather than using a personal check. Also, use the credit card to take advantage of discounts offered only at the show. Naturally, carry some cash too.
- Popular services will book fast as will the much sought after dates, act quickly if you want to book their service.
-Create a list of questions and remember the merchants really want to help you.
-Bring a few snacks and a beverage; vendors will offer taste-tests, but don’t waste time waiting in line for food at a snack bar, especially if it is not wedding related food booth. Mix your snack time with break time and review your most favorite vendors. Separate the most interested prospects placing them in a separate area in the collection bag or purse. Speaking of purse, don’t bring it into the event; it is just something else for you to carry.
Now that you have prepared for the expo, the next step is to put the action into play.
-Visit every booth even if it’s only to pick up a business card. You may later decide to include them in the wedding after all.
-Arrive early whether it is a large or small expo and don’t rush. As you begin the tour, peruse one isle and then the other staying on one side at a time. You won’t miss a booth by touring with this system.
-Gather information from other vendors too, but allocate most of your time to the vendors in need to complete the wedding.
-Definitely bring your fiancé, if this is not possible bring your mother, maid of honor, mother-in-law or girlfriend. It is helpful to have a 2nd opinion.

Now you have a plan and know the best way to view the wedding vendor booths and get the most out a bridal expo. Wear comfortable shoes, carry a tote bag with snacks and water and visit as many booths as possible. Breathe deeply and bear in mind that wedding preparation takes months of decision making and organizing for the momentous day. Take your time and enjoy the show; make one decision at a time.
